This innovative kit replaces the air springs on Range Rovers 4.0-4.6 with sturdy steel coil springs. It also has electronic modifications for disabling the EAS system entirely. Upon installation, the vehicle will ride on conventional springs and eliminate complicated and expensive EAS system failuresand repairs.
Black Dog's spring conversion kit can be installed on Range Rovers 1995-2002. The springs have a slight positive rake that allows vehicles to stay level when fully loaded. This conversion is fully reversible, although to our knowledge, it has never been necessary or desired.
This kit comes with everything needed to install the springs and start using them immediately, including fully illustrated installation instructions. It takes approximately 4.5 hours to install by a certified technician or knowledgeable enthusiast. The instructions include an electronic wiring section that will put the truck in "manual" mode, eliminating unnecessary warning lights that have been known to show up (for more on this, read the Spring Kit FAQ). Unlike the toublesome EAS, steel springs can be installed and forgotten without the worry of breaking down again.
